    Sr Compensation Analyst

    The role will work closely with HR business partners and business leaders to drive solutions that attract, reward, and retain talent and support business objectives. This highly analytical role requires a deep understanding of compensation principles and the ability to perform a wide variety of duties including salary structure development and maintenance; integration and standardization of jobs in a complex environment; evaluation/market pricing of positions at all levels of the organization utilizing external market data and internal position comparisons; and managing enterprise-wide projects such as merit compensation administration and salary planning.

    This is a key position in the implementation and administration of compensation projects and programs. The individual in this position will provide counsel to Managers to ensure consistent and equitable application of compensation policies and practices across Waters; is an integral part of the compensation team; prioritizes multiple competing priorities inherent to supporting end-to-end compensation programs across geographies.

    We are looking for a Compensation professional with global experience to help us grow our compensation function into a strategic partnership.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Act as trusted advisor to HR and business groups, providing recommendations on compensation matters that support of business goals and ensure market competitiveness regarding application of compensation policies, practices, and guidelines
    • Perform various research and analyses to determine market competitiveness of compensation programs or to ensure compliance with current legal regulations
    • Develop insights to analyze effectiveness of compensation programs
    • Conduct job evaluations, job leveling, and provide salary recommendations ensuring internal equity and market alignment of total compensation
    • Develop and maintain job code and associated data and system requirements
    • Manage the compensation survey submission process and maintain the MarketPay database
    • Manage compliance with applicable regulatory requirements regarding employee pay while staying up to date on current related legislation
    • Document business processes to streamline processes for the compensation team
    • Participate in other Total Rewards projects and initiatives

    Participate in the planning, development, implementation and administration of a wide variety of employee compensation programs including base pay, merit, incentive, and equity.

    Lead annual market pay analysis process, present findings and develop market ranges.  Identify market data needs, prepare survey submissions, respond to quality audits, maintain survey database. Conduct job matching validation. Develop and maintain job code and associated data and system requirements

    Participate in special projects to include: performing analyses of competitive pay practices, economic trends, current market position, and cost impact, system enhancements, and improving analytics.

    Responsible for all compensation programs for assigned geography

    Partner with HRBP/Ops Advisor and managers on various employee/job studies to determine compensation best practices.  Research and respond to inquiries.   Provide consultation and guidance on compensation matters


    Develop and prepare various standard and custom reports in support of compensation team and programs

    Develop and deliver communications and training related to compensation programs, polices, and process

    Work closely with all areas of HR in the development, implementation, revision, and maintenance of programs to support the efficient administration of compensation programs and analyses


    Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties.

    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or HR related field or commensurate experience
    • Minimum 5 years experience in compensation
    • CCP course work a plus
    • Minimum 2 years experience in global compensation environment, Asia and India experience strongly desirable
    • Knowledge of compensation best practices
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Advanced analytical, problem solving, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
    • Proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint
    • Familiarity with SAP
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications and presentation skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups
