    Job Description

    We are seeking an innovative Global Compensation Manager who is a multi-dimensional leader, able to think strategically while managing multiple programs and initiatives with precision. You will play a key role in driving transformation and innovation in our People organization. You will be a part of a team of fun, innovative, and passionate people tasked with rolling out our new People strategy and supporting PTC’s SaaS journey.

    A forward-thinking professional, who is familiar with market best practices and keeps abreast of the latest developments in the field at a national and global level. Ideally, someone with experience in hyper-growth SaaS startup technology organizations and a wide experience including base pay, short- and long-term incentive programs, executive pay and disclosure, sales compensation and performance management who understands the hi-tech landscape and proven track record to build and develop strong teams. 
    Day to Day:
    Specifically, the Global Compensation Manager will:

    • Manage all aspects of global compensation programs.
    • Ensure competitive pay programs and progressive compensation infrastructure to attract, retain and motivate employees worldwide.
    • Continuously review and improve incentive plan design(s) that best fit with the organizational culture, priorities, and business model.
    • Manage the design and development of the company’s broad-based wage and salary programs and structures as well as segmented compensations strategies based on market and business conditions.
    • Lead annual market surveys; oversee all activity related to published compensation surveys throughout the year and audit survey output, market trends and competitive pay positions to ensure PTC’s salary plans meet overall company goals and objectives.
    • Work closely with Sr. Director, Global Compensation, Finance, CPO, and other appropriate stakeholders on annual performance targets and funding. 
    • Ensure compensation compliance activities are completed and processes and tools are effective and streamlined. 
    • Design and manage effective company recognition programs. 
    • Ensure regulatory compliance. 
    • Manage all aspects of equity design and administration; ensure timely reporting, filings and all required regulatory compliance. 
    • Manage plan documents, plan design, implementation, administration and compliance of equity programs, including the company’s Employee Stock Purchase Program. 
    • Forecast, manage and report on ongoing share utilization and stock compensation. 
    • Contribute to the preparation of the company’s annual proxy; responsible for the development of the Compensation Discussion and Analysis, and related tables 
    • Responsible for ensuring PTC’s compensation plans comply with country, state and local laws and regulations, partner with Finance and legal organizations on SEC filing related matters. 

    Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
    • A respected leader who is proactive and responsible in challenging the status quo while anticipating needs and then developing strategic, tactical, effective and efficient Compensation strategies to accomplish PTC’s objectives.
    • A passion for innovation and the ability to work with startup agility in a large enterprise software company.
    • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, and resourceful in the face of ambiguity.
    • A result- and success-oriented self-starter who has the stature, presence and credentials to operate effectively across multiple businesses and geographies in the company.
    • The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to work effectively as a business partner with senior line executives and clients to successfully develop and implement plans, programs, and policies.
    • The candidate must demonstrate the enthusiasm, relationships, influencing skills, presence, and the confidence necessary to secure commitment and to lead the implementation of sophisticated programs and activities.
    Preferred Experience:
    • Strong leadership and people management skills as evidenced by a proven track record of attracting, developing and retaining a highly talented team.
    • Experience in incentive plan design, and equity strategy/plan design.
    • Excellent project management and communications skills with the ability to prioritize and drive success across multiple initiatives.
    • Experience in supporting an HR transformation in an on-premise to cloud / hybrid cloud transformation a plus.
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Ideally, a minimum of 7+ years of diverse global compensation experience in a software technology or IT consulting services environment.
